SheetSonar is a Google Sheets add-on published by Geoffroy Bonetto, trading as Data Fabrik ("we"). Contact: contact@sheetsonar.com.
What the add-on can access
- The current spreadsheet only (
spreadsheets.currentonly): it reads the values you pass to a SheetSonar formula or select before a menu command, and writes results into cells or new sheets of that spreadsheet. It cannot open your other files. - Menus and dialogs (
script.container.ui) inside the spreadsheet. - Connection to our server (
script.external_request), to run the searches you ask for.
SheetSonar does not read your name, email address, contacts, or any other Google account data.
What is sent to our server
- The search parameters you type: keywords, country codes, periods, airport codes, dates, currency.
- Your SheetSonar licence key, stored in the spreadsheet's document properties. Anyone who can edit the spreadsheet can use it.
Requests are sent by Google's servers on your behalf, so we see Google's IP addresses, not yours.
Who processes it
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts our server (Cloudflare Workers) and this website.
- Apify Technologies s.r.o. (Czech Republic) runs the searches on the public Google Trends and Google Flights pages. It receives the search parameters only.
- Polar (polar.sh) sells the Pro plan as merchant of record. Polar collects your name, email and payment details under its own privacy policy; we only receive whether a licence key is valid.
What we keep, and for how long
- Licence keys and a monthly count of results used per key: as long as the key exists.
- Search results, to answer the same question again without a new search: 1 to 12 hours (6 hours for empty results).
- Records of report requests: 7 days. Technical error logs: as kept by Cloudflare.
Search parameters are not linked to a person. We do not sell data, show ads, or build profiles.
Google user data
SheetSonar's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Spreadsheet content is used only to run the searches you ask for and to write their results back.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for access to, correction or deletion of data about you. Apart from your emails to us, we hold no data that identifies you. To deactivate a licence key, write to contact@sheetsonar.com with the first 7 characters of the key. You can also complain to the CNIL (cnil.fr). Uninstalling the add-on stops all access to your spreadsheets.
